Jo-Anne has been a fitness enthusiast since her high school track team days. As a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor Specialist, she brings a commitment to health and fitness, combined with enthusiasm and experience to create high energy, athletic classes. An avid runner, Jo-Anne has run many marathons and is particularly proud of her Boston Marathon 2014 finish. If Jo-Anne weren’t teaching a class or running with the run club you would find her walking her dogs or baking up some wholesome goodies!

Colleen

Colleen got into the fitness industry completely by accident. After having her son in 2009, and deciding not to go back to work, she was encouraged by Lisa Manzo (her trainer at the time) to become a personal trainer and fitness instructor.  Her bubbly personality would be a perfect fit, she was told. She always enjoyed working out and exercising, but really found her life’s passion with a “real job” in the fitness industry.

Colleen loves teaching a variety of exciting, high-energy fitness classes, and training clients to push their bodies to their personal limits. She believes fitness should be a journey that should be enjoyed, not disliked. Every one of Colleen’s classes and training sessions are different and challenging in their own way, and she believes in the “work hard, play hard” philosophy as a way to encourage all her clients. Away from PurEnergy, you will find Colleen spending time at home in the kitchen prepping nutritious meals for her husband and eight year old son.

Vanessa

Barre/Dance/Kinesiology

Since the age of 5, Vanessa has studied in Ballet (R.A.D), Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Acro, Contemporary and Modern dance styles. Throughout her years of dancing she has travelled as a competitive dancer across Canada and the United States. As a dance artist Vanessa has worked with famous choreographers such as Linda Garneau, Luther Brown and Karen Kain. Vanessa began to share her training and technique as a Dance Instructor with the City of Toronto from her teen years until recently. She continued her studies at York University in the Dance/Kinesiology Program, embellishing her love for dance, teaching and fitness. Outside of dance and teaching, Vanessa sells condominiums for a high-rise builder throughout the GTA. She enjoys travelling, shopping and spending quality time with her family and friends. Vanessa looks forward to continuing to share her knowledge of dance techniques while instilling self-confidence and a positive self-image to her clients through her Barre Class.

Jessica’s expertise and passion for visual art and nutrition has given her the vantage point to know what work goes into establishing and fueling a strong body, and also fuels her commitment to achieving results. She is detail oriented and believes that in order to live a happy life you need to put in hard work and know you’re capable of succeeding! She is very experienced in making fitness decisions and whether you wish to build muscle, feel more energized or simply “tone” your body, she can effectively help YOU live a more physically and mentally rewarding life. You will notice improvements in strength and confidence in all aspects of your life. Choosing positivity and happiness are truly infectious; internal results will give you external results!

Josie

Certified Power Yoga Canada Instructor

Josie is a Certified Power Yoga Canada Instructor with a passion for inspiring others to tap into the heart of their personal power through the practice of Power Yoga. Her love of art and yoga, along with her lifelong commitment to eating well and staying fit, has taught her the power we seek is already within us. Her aim is to encourage others to grow strength, self-confidence, love, calm, freedom and joy through movement and breath.

When she is not on her yoga mat you will find her jumping on her trampoline with her three boys, or drawing and painting.

Kiera

Yoga, Reiki Master, Meditation, Personal Trainer

Kiera is on a heart-fuelled mission to inspire others to take care of their health, happiness and life. She is committed to guiding millions of people to higher vibrational living, co-creating an epic life to be passionate about and worth waking up for. Kiera is a business graduate from the University of Western Ontario and has been on the spiritual path for many years. She is a 200-hour certified Yoga teacher and Meditation guide, with study in Yin, Restorative, Pre-natal & Kundalini yoga. She is also a certified personal trainer, Reiki Master and ARCHangel through Absolute Realization Coaching & Healing (ARCH). She discovered the healing powers of yoga and meditation in her own life at a young age and was deeply inspired to share these transformative powers with others. If she’s not in the studio, you’ll find Kiera travelling / exploring the world and catching some waves while she’s at it!

Dancer, actress, singer, athlete, and fitness professional, Megan Leach is a positive motivator who brings an incredible energy and range of exercise knowledge to her clients.  Certified in group fitness, Megan specializes in Spin, Dance Fitness, Athletic Agility, Yoga and Sculpting.  Megan’s love for music makes for a versatile, creative and stimulating class that marriages solid technique and form with fun and motivation.

Megan’s motto is to “Define Yourself” – she encourages her students to develop their

physical, social, metal, emotional and spiritual health and above all to express themselves!

Megan loves life and loves her students – their growth inspires her! When Megan is not teaching she loves to perform as a dancer, singer and actress and just recently released her second music video “The Chemistry”.

Growing up as a dancer provided Caitlin with a great sense of body awareness and a passion for movement from an early age. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre – Performance Program, Caitlin has performed across North America in many memorable theatre as well as Film/TV projects

As a teenager, Caitlin was introduced to Pilates as a form of rehabilitation for a hip injury. In a short amount of time she found she had less pain, greater mobility and a noticeable improvement in her dance technique. She is incredibly passionate about sharing the practice of Pilates with dancers and non-dancers alike. As a certified Mat, Reformer, Cadillac and Therapeutic Instructor, Caitlin combines her Pilates knowledge with a lifetime of dance experience to offer unique and challenging classes. Her goal is to help others to feel more connected to their body and she enjoys witnessing the confidence that comes with ease of movement.

Amy has a passion for health and fitness and motivating clients to reach their goals. From a young age she has trained in artistic gymnastics, developing her love for health and fitness. When she is not teaching a class you can find Amy reading, enjoying the outdoors, studying to finish her education as an American Sign Language-English Interpreter, or spending time with family and friends.

She is a Yoga teacher, fitness coach, personal trainer & fascial stretch therapist. She strives to provide a refreshing and positive experience through fitness to help people connect with their true selves and embrace individuality. If she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her on horseback, catching some waves in the Caribbean or driving around with the top down in her Jeep.

Stephanie is a registered yoga teacher, trained in Hathaway yoga with a love of restorative yoga. She loves to inspire others along their spiritual journey, to be present, to relax and to practice self love. She is also a Holistic Nutritionist specializing in digestion, hormones and emotional health. Stephanie’s mission is to inspire others to practice preventative health and shift their lifestyle to a healthstyle. Stephanie brings her passion for health and wellness, positive energy, enthusiasm for life and love of teaching in all that she does.

Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance - E-RYT® 200

Stephanie’s introduction to yoga came in 2003, after learning about all the benefits of it from her aunt. Stephanie quickly found that yoga improved her stability, and helped with her scoliosis – she was instantly hooked! A couple of years later, Stephanie became a Barkan Method certified instructor and a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (200-RYT) with the Yoga Alliance. A fascination and desire to help others with back pain and spinal issues also led her to complete Elise Miller’s Yoga for Scoliosis Certification Program.

Students benefit from Stephanie’s eclectic knowledge of various yoga styles, as she draws from several modalities and tailors them to fit the needs of the group. In her class, you can expect to work mindfully and deeply. Her teaching style is challenging, yet students will leave feeling relaxed and renewed. Why does Stephanie teach yoga? It’s because of the students, the yoga community, and the self-awareness that it brings. She especially loves to observe the positive transformation that unfolds in students’ lives as a result of a regular yoga practice.

If Rebecca is not at PurEnergy you can find her relaxing in nature or spending time with her family and friends.

Theo received his diploma as a Registered Massage Therapist from Everest College and has been working in the field for over 6 years. He is incredibly passionate and dedicated to his work and determining the needs of his clients.

Theo is avid in practicing routine physical exercise and strongly believes in its equilibrium of the mind, body and soul. In his spare time, you can find Theo with his family, composing music and learning new techniques to advance his career goals.

Lisa J

Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Reiki Master, Meditation, Clairvoyant

Lisa is Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Meditation Coach, Reiki Master, Clairvoyant and owner of Glamour Hippie Holistic Skin Care. Lisa knew she had special gifts as a child however it wasn’t until her early twenties when she began travelling around the world that she truly opened herself up to her psychic abilities again.

In Lisa’s Reiki sessions, she is able to get messages from her guides as well as clients guides to help them with whatever it that they need help with so their journey on this earth is an easier one. Lisa uses a Brazilian Agate Chrystal during her Reiki sessions to help clients go into a meditative state as well as enabling clients to get great healing abilities. Lisa has the talent to open your chakras and help you get into a tranquil state.

When Lisa is not with a client she can be found working on her Organic all natural holistic skin care line – Glamour Hippie. It is Reiki infused and Rose Quartz Crystal healing is also involved in the making to keep that Heart Chakra open and let self love come forward.
