Today marks my first episode on IGTV as I talked about balancing and healing our chakras through food. Today’s episode focuses on the first two chakras (Root Chakra and Sacral Chakra)
The basic most fundamental truth is that we are all composed of energy. Everything we see and touch is energy, including our bodies. Energy is constantly flowing and changing.
There are 7 energy centres or Chakras. Chakras basically group our energies and give each a name. Chakras can often become blocked when this happens it destructs the flow of energy in our bodies and causes emotional and physical issues.
There are many ways in which we can begin to heal our blocked chakras. I have decided to focus on balancing and healing them through food. You can tune into my #wellnesswednesday IGTV lives on @thelisamanzo to watch each episode (I talk about two chakras per episode).
Chakras: What are they and what do they do? What are the symptoms when one becomes imbalanced? How can foods heal them?
Let’s begin with the first two Chakras: The Root Chakra and The Sacral Chakra.
- Root Chakra: Located at the base of the spine, represents our entire foundation and grounding. It connects us to the earth and everything around us. It controls our survival instincts, our security, our fight-or-flight response, and our fears. Physically: it supports us: our legs, feet and foundation. If this chakra is imbalanced you may experience issues with your legs, feet and/or digestive system.
